Well just wanted to ask how many people here play competitive fighting games? Like really high level. you know, liek the levels of msot people who have their matches recorded on youtube? cuz gw is a fast paced rpg but even that is not at the same pace as fighting games such as guilty gear or mvc2. so my question is, who plays and HOW EXTREME RAWRWEAWRJAWJ;AWG

My friend won a Tekken 3 competition at the mall once.

It was free to enter and there were mostly 12-15 year olds.

Anyway, he totally owned them all. It was pretty funny.

I only know one friend of mine that plays in Super Smash Bros. Melee competitions at our library (of all places!) He goes in and kicks ass as Jigglypuff. But we both feel real awkard there, since we're usually the oldest.

As for me, me and another friend have done some TF2 tournies around town. Only been three so far, and we've won all of them (people in A2 suck at FPS's.)

A few friends and I enter tournaments at a Lanfest every year

they hold tournaments for
COD 2
3
and 4 for this year
Unreal tourney
halo
counter srike
half life
quake

and have games going for
series sam 1 and 2
medal of honor

its a pretty big pay out to 1 thousand for first, 500 for second and 250 for third place.
the past 4 years we have won the COD and unreal tourneys and got second place in half life and Halo, its sweet to pay 50$ to go and leave with around 3thousand dollars and the free swag they give out through the raffles rock my friend won a labtop last year.
would love to go back this year and win a few thousand dollars again but the largest nerd on our team decided to join the Armed forces for some dumb reason.

every so often I enter the small lanfest held at the hotel down the street from my house. but no money is won at this event only computer swag. which is great
